As much as I love the episode I would love to see more actions of Sam's adventure down there. But I don't know maybe something will come up down the storyline.
Guy Bee which directed this episode told the Hell set has been use for shot this scene only for one day ! ( well done as always Jerry & team ). It's a combination of designing set and also help from VFX team to make it even more creepy and don't forget SFX and props team.

I said it before and again ! these two men are the best in their job.
you just about just looking at my screencaps and could feel and understand both at that moment.
Both Jensen and Ty are gave all and more for any scene they are together
I could understand when you are loving what you do and found somebody who love as much as you make you enjoy and give all you got.

I felt the same as most of you but also understand the writers want them to be like normal human like us as much as possible !
Sam also the same. As much as we want him to love hunting and kick asses and be a hero.
But he's not ! if you get back to watch from S1 till now. Sam is Sam the way he always be.
But one thing I'm sure the love for his brother.
He looks at thing different way from Dean but at the end they wants the same result!
We too always try do our best but sometimes not go on our way ! but what we think we did our best at that moment. I love how they make these characters to be close to real than make superhero. Jeremy gave interview about Sam action here

I like this episode which give a chance for Sam to be in Dean's shoes and understand why Dean so upset when he didn't look for Dean and also Benny issue.
