Eric Kripke

Eric Kripke : "When we started casting, we had archetypes in mind, which were Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. We were really looking for Sam to be empathetic, kind, and likeable, and really the audience surrogate. The person who the audience would most see themselves as and really carry the story through their eyes. And that required a really unique likeability. For Dean, we were looking for Han Solo. We were looking for devil-may-care, charismatic, a little rough around the edges, a little edgy, says things that are not always the kindest thing, as long as they're funny. And that was really what we started out with."

The Directors of Supernatural : Kevin Parks

Kevin Parks : "I walked into a production office. I was pretty much dressed in a three piece suit because I didn’t know whether the company was casual or not. And the production coordinator was quite impressed by that. And a day later I got called to come into work as an office production assistant." I've heard about Kevin not long after i joined twitter world. I remember @RUSS_MOVIEGOD (Location Manager for SPN ) tweeted and introduced Kevin to us.  I followed and he replied most of my tweets. I could tell this man such a humble nice guy. I've been told he's been with the show from day one! He asked fandom to help donate for his campaign for Team Supernatural "RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER" more details and how to help for his campaign this year here : http://www.supernaturalwiki.com/index.php?title=Supernatural_From_Script_to_Screen:_First_Assistant_Director_Kevin_Parks#RIDE_TO_CONQUER_CANCER
Back to Kevin and his part on SPN. He's a first assistant director. His job is responsible for all things either people, locations, costumes, vehicles, stunts, special effects, makeup effects and visual effects etc. All things which need to get ready for the set and also while filming.
If you look some pics from behind the scenes you would see him everywhere. He's really busy man !
Looking good there Kevin !

Could you spot him ?

Now we know all things on set would be plan and organise by him ! No question why he's also known as "Parksapedia" because of his encyclopedic knowledge of the show.
at least one occasion caught on tape ! Fans ask Jensen & Jared while at their panel #Vancon
They were struggling to answer! Luckily Kevin was there to answered the fans for them

From crew member become director for the episode 814  “Trial and Error” .
After has been prep for others for long time. He got opportunity to direct first episode.

Kevin: It sounds kind of weird but in my entire career I’ve never really saw myself as a Director. What I do is more on a producer end of doing things, but once we’d been on the show for seven years it basically came around to asking Bob Singer for the chance to do it. his episode last year and I got   It comes from them respecting the hard work that all of us do, to give us a new challenge and just to say thank you."
