Eric Kripke

Eric Kripke : "When we started casting, we had archetypes in mind, which were Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. We were really looking for Sam to be empathetic, kind, and likeable, and really the audience surrogate. The person who the audience would most see themselves as and really carry the story through their eyes. And that required a really unique likeability. For Dean, we were looking for Han Solo. We were looking for devil-may-care, charismatic, a little rough around the edges, a little edgy, says things that are not always the kindest thing, as long as they're funny. And that was really what we started out with."

The Directors of Supernatural : Robert Singer ( Bob )

Robert Singer : On Supernatural, things are never as the simple as black and white."
Robert Singer or as we know him as Bob has been involved with the show from start. He is a director, writer and executive producer.
He told the network can't just let Kripke spend big budget. They sent him to join and guide how the show to work with Kripke. And that what he did and even more than that until now many epic episodes directed by him or wrote by him! The clip below is about how Bob got in the show and what others thought about him. I agree with Kripke when he said Bob input to make depth for characters on the show. Bob perspective is more of realistic and layers but Kripke is more of kick ass, humour story line and blood spreading which work well together!

Bob has become a senior team member which all respected for his work and personal friendship.
Jerry Wanek : On directing Slice Girl Episode "It was life changing for me. Must thank J&J for great performances. Bob for opportunity"
It's been a question about how the Bobby Singer came up with. Here Clip both Bob and Jim Beaver talk about this subject! I believed it's meant to prank and gone wild but we love both character and this name anyway ! Thanks Kripke ha ha I bet Bob will got him back in some way !

  5. NOTE TO WRITERS:

For the past 8-10 seasons it seems the writers have been leaning heavily toward doom and gloom. Towards what purpose? Aiming toward the end of the show? Having all the characters die off?
POSH!!! Why didn’t you have Dean go into Mary’s room to excitedly tell her something and find her and Ketch in bed together? He could do the “OH GOD I’M BLIND” thing stumble out to tell Sam and Cas. Then find out Ketch went with him to find Mary because he had always been in love with her. In the other world they had been a couple. They could have claimed to keep it secret because they knew how the boys would react. Bobby was helping cover for them.
Then instead of killing Mary off, she and Ketch could have made the decision to go to England to help re-establish the Men of Letters organization there. With all the demons and monsters in Europe to face, that would have given the show a whole new venue of episodes.
Then have Bobby want to go back to the other world and get his family. With Jacks new grace they could have done that. Bobby is married to Ellen and Jo is his step daughter. WOW the chemistry between Dean and Jo was ELECTRIC anyway and this way instead of killing off Dean he could re-open the hunters bar as was, his heaven dream, but with Jo as his partner.
Bobby finds he is the owner of the salvage yard, then he and Ellen open it up maybe having a couple of kids together (teenagers) over in the other world or something and have problems trying to keep the kids form hunting.
Bring in the younger hunters introduced in previous 1 shows and have Cas, Sam and Jack work the cases with them. And eventually have am decide to go to Grad school and enter academia as he always wanted with an advisory role for a while then gone happily marrying some other professor of the strange or occult.
WH Y WHY WHY do the writers have to go towards the dark? In the first seasons, Sam and Dean had fun even while hunting. Now it seems there is no more laughter or gaiety in the shows. This seems so far from what I see in the conventions that are on the web. They are all so happy there.
